The Walking Dead is an American horror drama developed by Frank Darabont for AMC that is based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. It premiered on October 31, 2010, and became the highest-rated scripted series in basic cable history.
The story follows Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), a sheriff's deputy who awakens from a coma to find himself in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. He travels with his family and other survivors across Atlanta to find refuge at Hershel Greene's farm while trying to maintain order against the undead hordes.
