Singer Ally Brooke Hernandez was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She is of Mexican descent and became involved with singing at a young age, performing in church choirs. In 2012 she auditioned for the reality TV competition series The X Factor where she met her future bandmates Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui and Camila Cabello.
