Jeremy Renner is no stranger to wearing stylish jackets, but his latest might just take the cake! The "Hawkeye" actor is being sued for allegedly wearing a $2,000 suede jacket without permission. The complainant, identified only as Jane Doe, alleges that she saw Renner wear the jacket at a nightclub in February and took a picture of it to show him that it was not authorized to be worn. Doe is asking for unspecified damages.
This isn't the first time Renner has been in trouble with the law. In 2009, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing his Porsche into a telephone pole. In 2012, he was charged with felony assault after hitting his then-girlfriend in the face with a wine bottle. So it's not surprising that he might have violated this woman's copyright by wearing her jacket without authorization. It's important to remember that if you're going to wear something that isn't yours, make sure you get permission from the person who owns the copyright before you do so.
